Bio

BJ Stricker writes songs. Always has. And after countless years, miles, cities, and near-empty open mic nights, those songs finally began to settle into their natural context in the outskirts of Dallas, TX

Working with some of the best musicians, producers, and engineers Dallas has to offer, the sound he'd been chasing began to coalesce in a way that offered a clear direction towards something more than the songwriter's life he'd lived up to that point. Carrying his newfound appetite for collaboration and abandoning the solo mentality he'd identified with for so long, BJ left the studio pressing forward towards a new future for his music with The Kings of State Street.

In the process of composing the KOSS, BJ made a resolute decision to avoid the prevalent "hired gun" philosophy that many singer/songwriters employ when transitioning from a solo project to a full-band configuration. In search of a true collaborative habitat for his music, he onboarded a group of musicians who would invest not only their vast experience and technical ability, but also their blood, sweat, and time into developing a sound they could call their own.

All with extensive training and a passion for making great music, each of these talented performers contribute something unique and exciting to BJ's engaging songwriting resulting in a lively performance that's not to be missed.
